Chaos erupted at the Porsche Nightclub in Oba, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, as unidentified armed hoodlums stormed the area, resulting in the tragic deaths of two individuals and injuries to several others.
The incident occurred late on Sunday during a gathering of fun-seekers at the nightclub.
Eyewitnesses reported that the armed assailants attempted to abduct the club owner but encountered resistance from security personnel.
In response to the resistance, the gunmen opened fire indiscriminately, causing panic among the crowd.

Emeka, an eyewitness, recounted the events, stating that the armed individuals resorted to shooting and fatally stabbing a security guard who resisted their attempt to take the club owner into custody.
A resident living near the scene, who chose to remain anonymous, described the panic that ensued, with residents fleeing in different directions.
The gunmen, in a spree of violence, reportedly shot and killed several people, even beheading one of the security personnel who resisted their actions.
The Anambra State Police command spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident on Monday.
According to Ikenga, police responded to a distress call about a shooting at the Posch nightclub in Oba.
By the time security operatives arrived, the perpetrators had fled, but two unidentified corpses were discovered.
Additionally, two vigilantes and hotel security guards sustained fatal injuries, while three others were wounded by gunshots.
Ikenga assured that the situation was being monitored, and calm had been restored to the Oba community.
He mentioned that eyewitnesses had provided helpful information, and the police were working on leads.
As of the statement, no arrests had been made, but the community members were cooperating with the investigation.
