Popular Nigerian transgender figure, Daniel Nsikan, widely known as Jay Boogie, has refuted claims suggesting that he scammed Nigerians in the midst of a controversy surrounding a botched Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery.

In November, Jay Boogie made headlines by revealing that both of his kidneys were failing due to complications arising from a BBL surgery.

However, his statements were met with skepticism and criticism from individuals, including Doctor Loveth and influencer Tosin Silverdam.

In an interview with blogger Egungun, Jay Boogie addressed the accusations, stating, “Let me kneel and apologize. Nigerians, I’m sorry. I never scammed or defrauded Nigerians; it was all fake news. I can’t go around in circles. I just wanted to get well and come out and clear my name, and I’m sorry if anyone felt that way; I’m not that kind of person.”

He further clarified that he did not deceive Nigerians and shared details of the events surrounding the controversy.

Jay Boogie mentioned that he stopped the GoFundMe campaign after noticing suspicious activities and explained that the fake news about a botched BBL surgery began circulating while he was in the hospital.

Expressing gratitude to Nigerians for their support and donations during the challenging period, Jay Boogie acknowledged the assistance received and clarified that he is currently in a better condition but will continue seeking medical treatment.

The controversy surrounding Jay Boogie’s health and the subsequent denial of scam allegations have generated discussions on social media platforms.

The transgender figure remains appreciative of the support received from well-wishers and has expressed a desire to move forward positively.
