A barber in Eku, Delta State, lost his life after an altercation with three clients, as narrated by DSP Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of the Delta State Police Command.
According to Edafe’s account, the three young men had contracted the barber in Abraka for a service priced at N15,000. When the barber explained that he was too busy, the clients requested a refund.
In response, the barber refunded N5,000, with the assurance that he would pay the balance the following day.
However, when the clients returned to the shop for a different service, a dispute arose, leading to a physical confrontation between them and the barber.

During the altercation, one of the clients reportedly used an iron mopping stick to hit the barber.
The injured barber was promptly rushed to the hospital but tragically succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The three suspects are currently in custody at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in Asaba.
DSP Edafe expressed regret over the incident, emphasizing that such a tragedy could have been avoided.
The details of the altercation and the subsequent actions of the suspects will likely be investigated further by the authorities.
