A multi-storey building under construction in South Africa‘s coastal city of George collapsed on Monday, trapping approximately 48 workers in the rubble, according to the city hall.

At the time of the collapse, there were 70 people on the site.
Of these, 22 have been rescued and taken to hospital, as confirmed by a city spokeswoman.
