The accident involved four vehicles: an Isuzu mini truck with the number plate T1079L, a Toyota Camry with the number plate EPE200GK, a Honda Accord without a registration number, and a BUA trailer, also without a registration number.

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpe, confirmed in a statement that the exact number of people involved in the crash has not yet been ascertained.

However, it was reported that one person, a male adult, was injured, and four others—one male adult and three female adults—lost their lives in the accident.

The crash, which occurred last night, was attributed to brake failure, which led to the driver losing control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into another car from behind while in motion.

The injured victim was taken to AZ Zonecare Hospital in Magboro, while one of the deceased was taken to the Real Divine Hospital morgue in Ibafo.

The other three bodies were claimed by their families.

Ogun FRSC Sector Commander, Akinwumi Fasakin, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and urged motorists to avoid speeding and to regularly check their vehicles to correct any defects.
