In the Kajola area via Owode-Egba, Ogun State, a technician identified as Badmus Ola has tragically died from electrocution.
According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred at approximately 4:45 pm on Christmas Day.
Ola, along with five others, had been contracted to remove a billboard in the area and replace it with a new one.
During the replacement process, the technician reportedly held onto an iron rod.

Unfortunately, he was electrocuted when the iron rod he was holding mistakenly came into contact with a high-tension cable.
The state Public Relations Officer, Odutola Omolola, who confirmed the incident said that the deceased’s body had been removed and deposited at a mortuary in the area.
Omolola stated, “It happened yesterday (Monday) when they were removing a billboard. He died instantly. The corpse has been deposited at the Idera Hospital Morgue.”
