The Deputy Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Mr. Philip Agbese, has urged Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly for success in delivering services to the nation.
In a special message to mark Christmas, Agbese emphasized the biblical teaching of praying for people in authority. He highlighted the importance of supporting leaders through prayers, stating that the prayers of the people have significant impact.
Agbese urged Christians to pray for the wellness, good judgment, safety, grace, and success of President Tinubu and all leaders at various levels.
He emphasized that leaders need peace of mind to focus on governance and administration. Rather than criticizing or casting aspersions, he encouraged a culture of prayer and support for those in power.

Expressing gratitude for the success of the military against insurgents, Agbese acknowledged the efforts of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, and his team in reducing insurgencies and banditry in Nigeria.
He commended the armed forces for ensuring a peaceful Christmas celebration, especially in areas that were previously flashpoints for attacks.
Agbese called for recognition of the sacrifices made by security forces and urged Nigerians to support, pray for, and show love and care to the security personnel who work day and night to keep the country safe.
He emphasized that the efforts of the armed forces deserve acknowledgment and support from patriotic Nigerians.
