Skytrax, a UK-based airline and airport review and ranking site, has crowned Cape Town International Airport in South Africa as the Best African Airport for 2024, as reported by BBC on Thursday.

This announcement was made during the 25th anniversary of the World Airport Awards held in Frankfurt, Germany.

The rankings were determined through a survey conducted by Skytrax from August 2023 to March 2024, with participation from over 100 nationalities.

Following Cape Town International Airport, Durban King Shaka Airport, also in South Africa, secured the second position, while Johannesburg O. R. Tambo International Airport claimed the third spot.
