Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Oladimeji, popularly known as Oladips, has issued a public apology for the recent death hoax orchestrated by his management.
The rapper expressed regret for the confusion caused by the false alarm, emphasizing that his illness was not a prank and that he was genuinely “very sick.”
In an interview with Naija FM that went viral on Friday, Oladips took full responsibility for the misleading information and pledged to surround himself with professionals to avoid such incidents in the future.
He acknowledged the gravity of the situation and sought forgiveness from his followers.

Oladips stated, “To Nigerians and my core followers, I will never play with people’s emotions like that. It was never a prank. I was sick sick. I am really sorry for the confusion, the false alarm and everything. I take full responsibility.”
The rapper further expressed his commitment to ensuring that his team consists of professionals who understand the appropriate course of action.
He mentioned going through challenging times, including allegations of theft by his former manager, which led to their separation.
“All I’m attempting to do at the moment is make sure the individuals I choose are professionals who understand what’s appropriate to do. No be person wey because he no hear from my mum, he feel like, ‘Ah! This guy don die’,” Oladips added.
He claimed that his manager would not have misbehaved if he were a true professional, emphasizing his responsibility in the situation.
“That is why I said I take full responsibility. So, I’m really sorry. Make una forgive me abeg,” Oladips concluded in his apology.
