Despite missing three post-World Cup games with the Falcons, Plumptre clarified in an interview with Nigeria Football that her absence was a personal decision to focus on her physical condition.
She expressed a desire to return to the national squad in the future.
“I guess it has been a break. I haven’t been able to go to the upcoming camp, like I said, it’s more of a personal decision while I take care of my body,” she explained.
Plumptre emphasized her commitment to the team and the privilege of representing Nigeria, expressing hope to return to compete at the highest level.
In her time with Al-Ittihad, Plumptre made an impactful debut, scoring a hat-trick and winning the Player of the Month award for October.
