Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala has been awarded the best goal for the UEFA Women’s Champions League 2023/24 season.
Oshoala scored a stunning bicycle kick in Barcelona’s 5-0 victory over Benfica in their opening group game.
This spectacular goal contributed to Barcelona’s successful campaign, as they went on to claim the Champions League title for the second consecutive season.

With the Blaugrana already leading 4-0, coach Jonatan Giráldez brought on the reigning Women’s African Footballer of the Year, who wasted no time in making her mark by scoring the final goal of the match in style. This was her only goal of the competition.
Following this achievement, Oshoala made a mid-season move to the American side, Bay FC.
