However, we are awaiting the medical report to confirm this. The deceased had been caring for the suspect since her childhood,” stated the PPRO.
The deceased, who was reportedly employed at the Ondo State Ministry of Finance, was discovered deceased in her residence three days after the incident.
A neighbor, speaking anonymously, described a distressing scene, mentioning that the victim had been stabbed in the abdomen and was unable to seek assistance due to locked doors.
“There was evidence of struggle, with bloodstains visible from the bedroom to the living room. Unfortunately, the closed doors prevented her from seeking aid.
The murder weapon was found beside her. It’s truly heartbreaking,” the neighbor disclosed.
Further reports indicate that the deceased’s body has been transferred to a morgue in Akure for preservation.
