The Ogun State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) has announced that the 2024 Trade Fair is geared towards minimizing unemployment, particularly among the youth population in Ogun State.
Engr. Mike Akingbade, President of OGUNCCIMA, made this declaration during a press briefing held on Thursday at the organization’s office in Oke-Mosan.
Akingbade emphasized that the Trade Fair aims to instill business acumen among the youth of Ogun State, positioning the state as the foremost business hub in the country.

He described the Trade Fair as a platform for industries to showcase their products and services, fostering awareness, examining market trends, maintaining customer relations, and exploring new business opportunities.
The 13th Gateway International Trade Fair 2024 is slated to facilitate business exchanges between local and international stakeholders through B2B, B2G, and B2C networking.
Additionally, it seeks to forge connections between businesses and policymakers/regulatory agencies, promoting mutual understanding and appreciation of their roles in the state’s economic development, job creation, and overall prosperity.
Akingbade revealed that the Trade Fair will feature a raffle draw, with a star prize of a 2-bedroom bungalow, courtesy of the Ogun State Government in collaboration with OGUNCCIMA.
Furthermore, the event will introduce an entertainment village for relaxation and social engagement, marking a historic addition to the Trade Fair.
OGUNCCIMA expressed readiness to collaborate with the state government in shaping the future of Ogun State, particularly in the area of agribusiness, to enhance productivity and support the development of SMEs.
They aim to attract investors to the state, making it the preferred investment destination.
Akingbade urged media practitioners to utilize the Gateway International Trade Fair as an opportunity to showcase the investment potentials of Ogun State to the global community.
He also appreciated the media for their support and called on them to portray the peaceful nature of Ogun State, fostering an environment conducive for business growth and development.
