In the aftermath of the tragic killing of Mr. Taiwo Oyekanmi, the former Director of Finance and Administration attached to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s office, the Ogun State Government has declared a N50 million reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.

Mr. Oyekanmi, aged 51, was fatally shot by gunmen on November 29 at the Kuto Flyover Bridge in Abeokuta.

The incident occurred as he, along with two others, was returning to the Governor’s Office with a significant amount of money withdrawn from two major commercial banks in Abeokuta.

The armed assailants confronted the victims, resulting in the tragic death of the chartered accountant from Ifonyintedo.

The criminals fled the scene with the substantial sum of money.

Expressing condolences, Governor Dapo Abiodun conveyed the devastation and trauma felt by his cabinet due to the killing of the senior civil servant.

The governor vowed to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

In an official statement released on Friday, the Ogun State Government disclosed the N50 million cash reward for anyone providing information that could aid law enforcement in apprehending the killers.

The statement emphasized the confidentiality of the information provided, assuring the public that tips leading to the arrest of the culprits would be treated with the utmost discretion.

The reward initiative underscores the government’s commitment to swiftly resolve the case and deliver justice for the slain director.
