Nigerians on social media have strongly criticized self-proclaimed entrepreneur Francis Van-Lare, who claimed to have had intimate relations with approximately 70 women and went on to publish their names and pictures on the internet to commemorate his 70th birthday.

Van-Lare, posting on his verified Facebook page, released the now-deleted list of names and pictures of the women he claimed to have been involved with, stating that he plans to include this information in a book scheduled for release next year.

In his post, he said, “70 years reflection. Have you ‘poied’ me before? I am putting together a picture slide of 365 photos to be played over the rest of December, starting December 7. I think I am missing some names in London and Italy in the 1970s that I ‘poied’ that I need to appreciate.”

Van-Lare proceeded to list the names of the women in batches, drawing significant backlash from Nigerians on social media.

Many criticized his actions, expressing concern for the privacy and reputation of the women involved, some of whom are suspected to be married.

Numerous netizens condemned the self-acclaimed entrepreneur, questioning the wisdom of his actions and calling for justice for the affected women.

Some doubted the credibility of his claims and urged those close to him to advise against such behavior.

One individual highlighted the potential legal consequences, stating, “I hope those ladies press for charges. For God’s sake, these are now married women.”
