The Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch, a military operation in Nigeria, has successfully eliminated Yellow Jambros, a notorious terrorist and kidnap kingpin, along with several other terrorists.

The operation took place in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.

According to the Nigerian Air Force, Yellow Jambros and his associates were tracked from Zamfara into Niger, riding motorcycles along the Kaduna-Niger State border.

The group, totaling 18 motorcycles, headed towards Kusasu in Shiroro, where they joined five more motorcycle-riding terrorists.

The terrorists then attempted to cross the Jikudna River in Galadima Kogo District, heading towards the Wurukuvhi axis of Chikun LGA.

The Nigerian Air Force conducted a precision strike on the terrorists as they attempted to cross the river, neutralizing Yellow Jambros and his cohorts, destroying their motorcycles, and sinking their boat.

Yellow Jambros was known for his involvement in kidnappings and killings along the Abuja-Kaduna Road and in various communities in Kaduna, Niger, Katsina, and Zamfara states.

The successful operation demonstrated the military’s commitment to addressing security challenges in the region.

The terrorists reportedly exploited a perceived window of opportunity following a recent incident in Tudun Biri in Kaduna State.

The Nigerian Air Force remains actively engaged in counter-terrorism operations to enhance the safety and security of the affected areas.
