Osun State welcomes its new Commissioner of Police, Bzigu Kwazhi, who has been appointed to succeed CP Isyaku Mohammed.
CP Mohammed, who assumed office in the state on November 10, 2023, has been redeployed, leading to the appointment of CP Kwazhi.
As confirmed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Yemisi Opalola, in a statement released on Friday, the new Commissioner of Police reported to the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo on Thursday.
The deployment of CP Kwazhi follows the recent redeployment of CP Isyaku Mohammed.

Born in Mildu Shalmi, Madagali L.G.A of Adamawa State, CP Kwazhi holds a B.A in History/Political Science from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and is an alumnus of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, with a background in SEC 45.
Having joined the Nigeria Police Force in May 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police (Cadet ASP), CP Kwazhi brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
He has served in various capacities in different states within Nigeria and abroad, demonstrating expertise in Administration, Operations, and Investigations.
His notable roles include serving as a Contingent Commander for Nigeria Formed Police Units in the United Nations Mission in Liberia, Pioneer Police Logistics Officer/NCC, Team Coordinator for ECOWAS mission in Guinea Bissau, and Chief of Training in the Department of Peacekeeping Operations at FHQ Abuja, among other distinguished positions.
The appointment of CP Kwazhi reflects a commitment to maintaining strong and effective leadership within the police force, as he assumes responsibility for overseeing law enforcement and security in Osun State.
