Kaduna Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi, responded positively to an invitation from the Federal Government regarding his remarks on bandit activities, stating that he engaged in a “productive interaction” with government agencies on addressing banditry nationwide.
The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, announced the government’s decision to invite Gumi for questioning, emphasizing that nobody is exempt from the law.
Gumi had previously offered to negotiate with bandits responsible for the abduction of schoolchildren in Kaduna State.

Following the meeting, he reassured his followers via his social media handle that the discussion was constructive and devoid of hostility.

He thanked everyone for their concern and prayed for continued protection from harm.
