Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have made a significant interception of heroin, marking a record-breaking seizure of the drug smuggled into Nigeria.
The drug, intercepted at Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, was brought into the country by an international drug syndicate operating across three countries.
Retired Brigadier General Buba Marwa, the Chairman of NDLEA, announced the mega seizure at a news conference in Lagos on Tuesday, revealing that the intercepted drug weighed 51.9 kilograms, similar to a seizure in Ikorodu last year.
