Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has taken legal action by filing a suit for a DNA test for his grandson, Liam, aiming to address concerns regarding his paternity.
Aloba stressed the importance of safeguarding Liam’s future and ensuring he lives a peaceful life without any doubts about his identity.
Additionally, Aloba urged the Nigeria Police to summon Omowunmi, his deceased son’s wife, to provide insights into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
In a statement issued by the family, Aloba underscored the significance of Omowunmi’s testimony in shedding light on the events leading to Mohbad’s demise.

Aloba’s actions coincide with ongoing investigations into the cause of Mohbad’s death.
He seeks to involve more witnesses, including individuals who were with Mohbad before his passing.
Acknowledging the sensitivity of the matter, Aloba urged the police to ensure Omowunmi’s safety when she comes forward to share her account.
He emphasized the urgency of uncovering the truth behind Mohbad’s death for the sake of closure and justice.
Mohbad, previously signed to Marlian Music, died on September 12 at the age of 27, prompting inquiries into the circumstances of his passing.
The Lagos State Police Command initiated a specialized investigation team to probe his death, with autopsy results pending to ascertain the cause.
During the investigation, Primeboy, one of the individuals with Mohbad prior to his death, was declared wanted by the police and subsequently surrendered.
Despite these efforts, the police are yet to receive the autopsy report from pathologists, as confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
