Dr. Betta Edu, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, has shared that Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners’ Chapel, played a pivotal role in her appointment as a minister in Nigeria.
She revealed that during the Shiloh 2022 programme, she prayed to become a minister by the next year’s Shiloh.
During the Friday session, Edu recounted her experience, stating, “Last year at Shiloh 2022, I prayed and told God that by the next time I come for the next year’s Shiloh, I want to be a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

She further shared that on the last day of Shiloh, she approached Bishop Oyedepo, requesting his prayers for her specific aspiration.
According to Edu, Bishop Oyedepo prayed for her, stating, “It is done.”
She expressed her gratitude to God, attributing her ministerial appointment to divine intervention and Bishop Oyedepo’s prayers.
Edu highlighted that she is one of the youngest ministers in the Fourth Republic and acknowledged God’s role in her journey to the Federal Executive Council.
