On Tuesday, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State presented the Instrument of Office and Staff of Office to the new Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, at the Ogbomoso Township Stadium in Ogbomoso.

Oba Olaoye, chosen from the Olaoye Ruling House, had been approved by Governor Makinde on September 2.

The kingmakers, led by the Areago of Ogbomoso, High Chief Sobalaje Otolorin, subsequently installed him on September 8 as the new Soun of Ogbomosoland.

During the presentation, Governor Makinde stated, “I will now hand over the Instrument of Office and Staff of Office to Oba Ghandi Olaoye, Orumogege III.”
