In the early hours of Wednesday, a tragic lone crash occurred along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, resulting in the death of one person and injuries to seven others.

The incident involved a truck that was transporting passengers and livestock.

According to Florence Okpeh, the spokesperson for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the crash was attributed to a tyre burst.

The speeding truck lost control, leading to the unfortunate accident.

Florence Okpeh further stated that the family of the deceased promptly took away the corpse.

Additionally, on the same day, Okpeh reported another incident involving a petrol tanker that overturned on the Long Bridge along the expressway.

The FRSC is actively involved in managing and responding to these incidents to ensure the safety of road users.
