Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall, daughter of Fuji maestro King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, a.k.a KWAM1, as his Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.
This announcement came through a viral video of her father expressing gratitude to the governor and congratulatory messages shared on her Instagram page, @damimarshall_ on Thursday.
In the viral video, KWAM1 thanked Governor Sanwo-Olu during a performance at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena, acknowledging his daughter’s appointment into the governor’s cabinet.

He mentioned that it was Damilola who urged him to publicly express gratitude to the governor for her appointment.
Congratulatory messages poured in on her Instagram page, with one individual acknowledging her hard work and contributions to the party, while another expressed good wishes for her future endeavors.
Damilola Marshall, a barrister, was previously a principal partner at Damilola Ayinde Marshal and Co., a law firm.
Efforts to confirm the appointment from the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile, were unsuccessful as messages sent to his WhatsApp line remained unanswered at the time of this report.
