The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a cautionary statement urging Nigerians to be cautious of candidates presenting printed result slips, clarifying that current results are not available in paper format.

In a statement released on Wednesday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, highlighted the necessity of this information as printed result slips were already circulating on social media platforms.

Benjamin emphasized that unlike the previous year, 2024 UTME results are not accessible on the board’s website. Instead, candidates are instructed to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” to either 55019 or 66019 using the phone number registered for the UTME, ensuring that the SIM card is not on any data bundle.

He urged candidates to refrain from visiting cybercafes or third-party entities for result verification.

Furthermore, the public was cautioned against individuals presenting printed result slips, as the current results exist solely in digital format.

While announcing the release of the 2024 UTME results on Monday, JAMB Registrar Prof. Ishaq Oloyede disclosed that the results of 64,624 candidates out of the 1,904,189 who sat for the examination had been withheld pending investigation.
