Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is scheduled to visit Russia on Thursday for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as confirmed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The visit comes as the two nations seek to bolster their economic and military partnerships in response to Western sanctions.
Putin visited Iran in July of the previous year, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov held talks in Tehran in October with regional counterparts.
The upcoming negotiations are expected to cover a range of topics, including economic interactions, regional and international issues, and a focus on the situation in Gaza.
