The Nigerian Army has initiated the recruitment application process for non-tradesmen and women, as announced on its official X account.
The application period runs from May 3 to June 7, 2024, and the process is entirely free.
Interested applicants can follow these steps to apply:
- Visit https://recruitment.army.mil.ng
- Complete the online application form
- Submit the form online and print a copy
- Fill out the Guarantor Form

Basic requirements for applicants include:
- Nigerian citizenship by birth
- National Identity Card/NIN slip
- Medical, physical, and psychological fitness
- No criminal convictions
- Valid birth certificate/age declaration
- Certificate of state of origin
- Height requirement: Male – 1.68 meters, Female – 1.65 meters
- Age: 18 to 22 years for non-trades, up to 26 years for tradesmen/women by June 30, 2024
- Minimum of four passes in WASSCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB
- Trade Test/City Guild Certificate for tradesmen/women
Applicants must meet the specified educational qualifications, which include having a WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB certificate.
Additionally, those applying as tradesmen/women must possess a Trade Test/City Guild Certificate.
