During a meeting with the governorship aspirants and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, the National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, introduced Dennis Idahosa as the party’s deputy governorship candidate.
The announcement was made via a statement on the party’s official handle on Monday.
The statement read, “Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the National Chairman, convened a meeting with APC governorship aspirants and stakeholders in Edo State. During the session, Hon. Dennis Idahosa was unveiled as the party’s deputy governorship candidate in the state.”

Former Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, extended congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo on securing the APC governorship candidacy in the state.
This development follows Okpebholo’s victory over Idahosa, Oshiomhole’s purported favored candidate, in the February 22 APC primary election, which took place a month prior.
