The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) in Katsina State, Prof. Armaya’u Bichi, has reportedly identified some university staff members who allegedly served as informants to bandits operating in the area.
These bandits have been responsible for attacks, including kidnappings of students, staff, and their family members.
Prof. Bichi disclosed this to journalists in Katsina, mentioning that the suspected staff members’ contacts have been handed over to a security agency for further investigation.
The revelation comes in the wake of a recent attack resulting in the death of a university staff member, which prompted colleagues to stage a peaceful protest against the prevailing insecurity.
