President Bola Tinubu has embarked on a journey from Abuja to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State.

The departure occurred at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at approximately 10:35 am today.

This marks Tinubu’s inaugural visit to the North-Eastern region since assuming office.

The purpose of his visit is to participate in the Nigerian Army Annual Conference where he will serve as the Special Guest of Honour.

According to reports from the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations, has disclosed details of the opening ceremony.

The agenda includes delivering an address to the troops of Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI, inspecting the ongoing Nigerian Army Reference Hospital in Maiduguri, and laying the foundation stone for Headquarters 7 Division.
