The Nigerian Correctional Service has announced plans to publicly display the names and photographs of the inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Suleja, Niger State, following a destructive downpour on Wednesday night.
Adamu Duza, the Spokesperson for the NCoS Federal Capital Territory Command, revealed this information to our correspondent on Thursday.
As reported by SAVING POINT MEDIA, the heavy rainfall caused extensive damage to the custodial facility, leading to the escape of 118 inmates.

The infrastructure of the centre, including the perimeter fence, suffered severe damage, facilitating the inmates’ flight.
Despite the challenges, efforts by security personnel have resulted in the recapture of 10 of the escaped inmates.
Duza stated that the command is actively collaborating with other security agencies to locate and apprehend the remaining fugitives.
Additionally, he mentioned that the details of these fleeing inmates would soon be shared with the public to aid in their recapture.
“Our intelligence officers, armed squadron officers, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, DSS, and other security agencies are combing neighbouring communities to find the fleeing inmates. Very soon, we shall publish the names and pictures of the fleeing inmates,” Duza assured.
