Finidi George has been appointed as the new head coach of the Super Eagles, Nigeria’s senior men’s national football team.

During his interim tenure, he led the Super Eagles in two friendly matches against Ghana and Mali in Morocco.

He won the Africa Cup of Nations title in 1994 and represented Nigeria in the FIFA World Cup finals that same year, where the team emerged as the second most entertaining side in their debut appearance.

Throughout his career, George earned 62 caps for Nigeria, participating in multiple tournaments including the FIFA World Cup and AFCON, where he secured gold, silver, and bronze medals across various editions spanning from 1992 to 2002.
