The 2023 Federation of International Football Association’s (FIFA) FIFPro team shortlist, released on Wednesday, will be unveiled at The Best FIFA Football Awards in London, England, on Monday, January 15.
The FIFA FIFPro team is a global football award decided exclusively by professional footballers, with over 28,000 professional players participating in the voting.
The shortlist for the men’s category includes top footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Karim Benzema, among others.
The finalists were nominated based on their performances from December 19, 2022, to August 20, 2023, and each player must have played at least 23 games within that period.

The women’s category features World Cup winners Aitana Bonmati and Jenni Hermoso, as well as Chelsea’s women’s duo Lauren James and Sam Kerr, among others.
The FIFPro World 11 will consist of a goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and three forwards who received the most votes.
The final spot will be assigned to the outfield player with the next highest number of votes.
The winners will be announced at The Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony, where the top players and coaches of the year will be celebrated.
