Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, expressed commendation for the Nigerian team participating in the global robotics competition in Dallas, Texas later this month.
During a courtesy visit by the team to his office, the Minister emphasized the importance of representing Nigeria with excellence and making the country proud.
The Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting Nigerians who bring honor to the nation.
He encouraged the young team members, aged 15 and below and students of Glisten Academy, Abuja, to showcase their talents and skills at the competition.

Impressed by the children’s ingenuity, comportment, and confidence, the Minister praised their dedication and stated that their efforts serve as a model for others.

Abubakar Mohammed, the leader of the delegation, appreciated the Minister’s efforts in promoting Nigeria and emphasized the importance of the team’s representation at the international competition.
He expressed confidence in the children’s commitment, indicating a promising future for the country.
The Executive Director of Glisten Academy, Abba Said, highlighted the scale of the competition with 650 teams from 65 countries and expressed optimism that Nigeria, with improved robotics, would achieve success this year.
Overall, the Minister’s meeting with the Nigerian robotics team underscored the government’s commitment to nurturing and celebrating young talents who contribute positively to Nigeria’s global reputation.
