In a tragic incident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, an unidentified motorcyclist lost his life after being hit and crushed by an unregistered truck.

The accident occurred in the Magboro area, with the motorcyclist attempting to exit from Freedom Estate junction to reach Magboro Bus Stop.

According to an eyewitness, the collision resulted in the immediate death of the motorcyclist, as the truck failed to observe his presence.

The spokesperson for the Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Florence Okpe, confirmed the accident, attributing the cause to speeding and wrongful overtaking.

The accident involved a truck without a registration number and a motorbike with the plate number DGB487VS.

Unfortunately, one male (1MA) casualty was recorded in the incident.

Okpe emphasized the importance of patience and caution on the road, urging road users to prioritize safety to prevent such tragic accidents.

The FRSC appealed to motorists to avoid speeding and embrace patience, reinforcing the key role these factors play in preventing road crashes.
