Dr. Samson Adeola Odedina, the former Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State, Nigeria, has been named a finalist for the prestigious Alumni Honour Award for Lifetime Achievement at the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.

Dr. Odedina announced this milestone in a statement issued on Thursday, expressing his excitement and gratitude for the recognition.

“I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Alumni Honour Award for Lifetime Achievement at the University of Wolverhampton, United Kingdom,” he said.

“It is a great honour to be recognized by my alma mater, where I had the privilege of studying 33 years ago.”

Dr. Odedina has enjoyed a distinguished career in public service, including roles as the former Provost of the Federal College of Agriculture in Akure, Ondo State, and the former Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Ogun State.

His most recent position was as the Commissioner for Agriculture in Ogun State, where he made significant contributions to the sector.
