Residents of Aba, Abia State are rejoicing over a continuous 48-hour stretch of uninterrupted power supply, courtesy of the Geometric Power Plant.

The celebration follows the activation of one of the four turbines at the plant on Sunday, February 25, 2024, ushering in a period of sustained electricity for certain parts of Aba.

Chude, who shared a video capturing a resident reveling in the constant power supply, emphasized the significance of the development, proclaiming Aba as Nigeria’s prime destination for residence and investment.

The sentiment echoed the sentiment that effective governance contributes to such advancements.

In the video, amidst jubilation, a lady expressed delight in both English and Igbo, praising the abundant electricity and affirming Aba’s status as a flourishing hub.

President Bola Tinubu officially inaugurated the Geometric Power Plant in Aba on Monday, marking a milestone two decades after its conception by former Minister of Power, Barth Nnaji.

Governor Alex Otti of Abia State credited the project to the power of visionary thinking, asserting that with reliable electricity now available in Aba, the city is poised to attract national and international businesses, fostering economic growth and development.
