Nigerian entertainer, Afeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, has initiated legal proceedings against actress Iyabo Ojo, accusing her of spreading false and defamatory content on her Instagram account.
In a letter sent to Ojo, Naira Marley’s lawyer, Olalekan Ojo, outlined the accusations made in a September 2023 post, where the actress alleged that Naira Marley engaged in spiritual and physical dealings with the late singer Mohbad.
The lawyer further claimed that Ojo accused Naira Marley of causing mental harm to Mohbad, whom he referred to as a brother.

Naira Marley’s attorney is demanding redress in the form of N500 million from Ojo and a public apology.
The counsel specified that the apology should be posted on Ojo’s official Instagram account and published in a national daily. Failure to comply with these conditions may lead to a lawsuit being filed against Ojo.
The letter emphasized the potentially damaging impact of Ojo’s statements, asserting that they implied Naira Marley was a drug addict and had laced food and drinks given to others with drugs, resulting in significant harm to their lives.
