The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has acknowledged and commended business owners in Ogun State for their prompt payment of taxes to the Federal Government.
The praise came from Olusola Bisi Alade, the Controller of the Nigeria Customs Service Command 2 in Abeokuta, who expressed his satisfaction with the dedication of Ogun State in meeting its tax obligations.
Speaking at a news conference in Abeokuta on Tuesday, Controller Alade identified the major challenge facing business owners in Ogun State as inadequate social amenities.

Since assuming duty in the state three months ago, he has observed several companies facing challenges due to poor electricity supply and deplorable road conditions, impacting their operations.
Controller Alade also highlighted the impact of rising foreign exchange prices, leading companies in the state to consider reducing production levels, laying off some workers, or even contemplating relocation from the country.
In terms of enforcement, the Customs Comptroller mentioned that four companies in the state have been sanctioned for operating without proper registration.
The companies include Glamour Foods & Consult (Nig) Ltd, Abraham & Sarah Beverages (Nig) Ltd, Cafro Group of Company, and Sprout & Kings (Nig) Ltd.
Providing financial details, Controller Alade disclosed that the total revenue generated through tax in the months of September and October amounted to Four Billion, Six Hundred and Twenty-Seven Million, Fifty-Four Thousand, Four Hundred and Fifty-One Naira, Sixty-Nine Kobo.
