Trial judge, Justice Emeka Nwite, postponed the proceedings for a ruling following arguments concerning the service of charges on Binance Holdings Limited.
The defendants, Binance Holdings Limited and Tigran Gambaryan, were scheduled for arraignment on Thursday but faced a delay due to objections raised by the second defendant’s counsel, Mark Mordi, (SAN).
Mordi argued that his client couldn’t be arraigned as the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) hadn’t properly served Binance Holdings Limited.

He emphasized that his client wasn’t an agent, director, or representative of the company in the country.
However, EFCC counsel, E.E. Iheanacho, disagreed, stating that the second respondent acted as a representative of the first defendant in the country and had been served the charges on behalf of the company, though it was rejected.
Iheanacho asserted that it wasn’t the second defendant’s counsel’s position to argue for the first defendant and urged the court to enter a plea of not guilty for the first defendant and proceed with the case.
