Executives from the All Progressives Congress in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Ward of Kano State refuted any involvement in the suspension of the party’s National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, on Wednesday.

Halliru Gwanzo, the Legal Adviser of the ward, led a 27-member delegation in a solidarity visit to Ganduje at the party’s secretariat. Gwanzo clarified that he had no knowledge of the court case filed against Ganduje on Wednesday.

This statement comes two days after Gwanzo informed journalists in Kano that the decision to suspend the former governor was made by the APC ward leadership, citing bribery charges filed against Ganduje by the Kano State Government and his scheduled arraignment.

Addressing reporters in Abuja on Wednesday, Gwanzo, who claimed to have been impersonated, urged the ruling party to investigate the matter and punish those responsible.

He emphasized that neither he nor the ward executives were involved in Ganduje’s suspension and called for action against the impersonators, alleging orchestration by the NNPP government and the Kwankwasiyya group.
