Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, prophesied on Sunday that Plateau State would undergo a transformative period of permanent peace and restoration, affirming that darkness cannot withstand the light.

Speaking during a special combined interdenominational service themed “Promoted for a Purpose,” held at the Redemption Camp of the RCCG in Kassa Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, Adeboye noted his absence from the state for seven years, attributing it to the devil’s attempt to hinder the spreading of light amidst the incessant turmoil.

“The devil has attempted to thwart the imminent revival in Jos by keeping me away for seven years, but I refuse to be deterred. The flame of God’s awakening in Jos shall not be extinguished,” declared Adeboye.

In his sermon titled “Promoted for a Purpose,” based on Revelation 4:10–11, Adeboye emphasized God’s power to elevate individuals from obscurity to positions of authority.

Governor Caleb Muftwang of Plateau State, addressing the congregation, expressed gratitude for Adeboye’s visit, interpreting it as a symbolic transition from darkness to light for the state.

“Daddy, your visit holds profound symbolism. Prior to your arrival, Plateau State was deemed inaccessible, but we trust that the era of mourning is over. Your presence signifies the revival of our land, breaking barriers and ushering in the glory of the Lord,” remarked Governor Muftwang.

Prominent figures present at the service included former governors Senator Jonah Jang and Senator Joshua Darius, Reverend Dunka Gomwalk, the state Chairman of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, and Reverend Stephen Dangana, the Special Adviser to Governor Muftwang on Religious Affairs.
