The Kaduna State Government emphasized the importance of the school feeding program as a critical factor in enhancing education across northern Nigeria.
Dr. Fauziya Ado, Special Assistant to the Kaduna State Governor on the School Feeding Program, highlighted this during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
Dr. Ado underscored the need for a comprehensive strategy to improve educational infrastructure, which she believes is essential for raising the quality of education.
She pointed out that the school feeding program plays a crucial role in addressing the challenges faced by school children, particularly in the northern regions of the country.

Speaking to reporters, Dr. Ado stressed the importance of supporting families to ease their financial burdens, which is vital for encouraging consistent school attendance.
“We are witnessing a significant increase in the number of girls attending school, which is a positive shift from the past,” she said. “However, to sustain this progress, it is essential to strengthen schools with better facilities, provide teachers with the necessary training, and ensure the continuation of the school feeding program.”
Dr. Ado also highlighted the broader impact of improving school facilities and addressing students’ basic needs, such as providing soap and detergent for proper hygiene.
She noted that these measures are critical for creating an environment where all children, especially girls, have the resources they need to succeed academically and build brighter futures.
She expressed gratitude to Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to the school feeding program in Kaduna State and thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for empowering the youth to contribute to the Renewed Hope Agenda across various sectors of the economy.
