The former governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom, called upon his Kogi State counterpart, Yahaya Bello, to address the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) regarding ongoing allegations during a recent Sunday service.

Bello, facing N80.2 billion fraud charges, has evaded court appearances, prompting the EFCC to declare him wanted. Additionally, the Nigerian Immigration Service has placed him on a watchlist, with his current whereabouts unknown.

During a thanksgiving service for his 63rd birthday in Makurdi, Benue State, Ortom emphasized the need for accountability, urging Bello not to tarnish the reputation of former governors by evading legal processes.

Ortom also urged youths to use social media constructively for personal development and to contribute to the state’s progress and development.
