According to close friend Derek Chisora, Anthony Joshua won’t be facing Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk in his next bout. Joshua, a former two-time world champion, had been assured a shot at the undisputed world titles following his recent victory over Francis Ngannou.

However, with Fury and Usyk set to contest all four heavyweight belts next month, Joshua’s next opponent will not be either of them.

Chisora disclosed that Joshua is slated to headline a Queensbury Promotions event at Wembley Stadium later this year. “He will fight the winner of Daniel Dubois and Hrgovic in Wembley,” Chisora stated emphatically, outlining the plan for Joshua’s upcoming fight.

The event, organized by Queensbury Promotions, promises an exciting spectacle, and Chisora expressed his anticipation for the event, calling it “a sick, a little adventure for Turki Alalshikh to bring it back to London,” in an interview with iFL TV.

In other boxing news, a matchup between Dubois and Hrgovic is expected to occur on the undercard of Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol’s undisputed clash in Saudi Arabia on June 1.

There’s speculation that the fight could potentially be for the IBF world title if the organization mandates Fury or Usyk to face their mandatory challenger Hrgovic. Additionally, rumors suggest that a significant heavyweight bout between Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang might also feature on the card.

Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, believes that if Fury emerges victorious against Usyk next month, a showdown between Fury and Joshua could be arranged instead of a rematch with Usyk.

However, Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, insists that the agreed two-fight undisputed deal will be upheld, delaying a potential Fury vs. Joshua clash until March.

Hearn contends that Joshua has now solidified his position as the best heavyweight in the world following his impressive victory over Ngannou, extending his unbeaten streak to four fights.

However, Fury dismissed Hearn’s assertion, referencing Joshua’s previous losses to Usyk. “I’m sure that Oleksandr Usyk will have something to say about that given he beat him twice,” Fury remarked, reaffirming his status as a top contender for the undisputed heavyweight championship.
