Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy and a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, has lodged a petition with the police against Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi.

The petition alleges false accusations and threats to Primeboy’s life.

Mohbad’s death at the age of 27 raised questions, including concerns about the paternity of his son, Liam, and the circumstances surrounding his demise.

Mohbad was signed under Marlian Records owned by Naira Marley.

Following Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley and Lagos socialite Balogun Eletu, also known as Sam Larry, were arrested and interrogated by the Lagos State Police Command.

Primeboy himself was declared wanted by the police but later turned himself in.

On March 12, Primeboy visited the State Criminal Investigation Department with Ayobami Fisayo, known as Spending, as part of the bail conditions granted during Mohbad’s case.

According to the police, Mohbad’s widow, Wunmi, filed a petition against Primeboy, alleging defamation of character and other offenses.

However, Mohbad’s family disputed the petition.

Primeboy, in a statement on his Instagram account, challenged Wunmi to come forward with the truth about her late husband’s death.

He shared the petition filed by Alexime Law Associates on behalf of Mohbad, addressed to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos.

In the petition, Primeboy accuses Wunmi of using the State Criminal Investigation Department to coerce him into making false confessions.

The petition also alleges official high-handedness and abuse of police powers by Inspector Muhammed of the State CID Panti.

This development adds to the complexity surrounding Mohbad’s death and the subsequent investigations, highlighting the tensions and legal disputes between various parties involved.
