Local residents are also appealing to security forces to intensify their efforts in the region, citing a rise in the prevalence of ‘one-chance’ robberies.

According to reports from Saving Point Media, conversations with passengers in the area revealed growing concerns about safety along the road.

Many passengers now feel the route is no longer secure due to the activities of highway robbers.

An anonymous resident of the area shared with Saving Point Media that they avoid going out after 7 pm due to safety concerns.

They emphasized the dangers of passing through the area at such times and expressed a desire to protect themselves and their families.

Another witness recounted a narrow escape from a highway robbery earlier in the year, underscoring the urgent need for heightened security measures in the region.

Residents are urging security forces to increase their presence and operations to ensure the safety of commuters along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
