Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of President Bola Tinubu, expressed optimism about the initiatives under the Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that they are already yielding results and will soon benefit all communities in Nigeria, particularly women.

Speaking at the inauguration of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria in Abuja on Monday, she highlighted the improving economic situation in the country due to these initiatives.

Represented by Mrs. Adedayo Benjamins-Laniyi, the Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Tinubu emphasized the importance of women remaining united and serving as shining examples in advancing the rights and well-being of women nationwide.

She urged women to embrace their role as healers of the nation and to focus on promoting equity, equal rights, and righteousness despite current challenges.

Dr. Elizabeth Akinadewo, the National Chairperson of WOWICAN, pledged to focus on women’s empowerment during her tenure, aiming to provide support to the oppressed, give voice to the voiceless, and equip women with the necessary skills for independence and self-sustainability.

Rev. Emmanuel Ozumba, the National Director for Education, Youth, and Women Development of CAN, emphasized the crucial role of women as nation builders and prayed for wisdom and vision for the new leadership of WOWICAN in driving women empowerment and national development forward.
