Opke attributed the crash to wrongful overtaking, speeding, and a tire burst, leading to a loss of control and veering off the road.

The injured victims received immediate medical attention at Victory Hospital Ogere, while the deceased were transferred to FOS MORGUE IPARA.

Sector Commander CC ANTHONY UGA of the FRSC Ogun Sector Command emphasized the prevalence of speed violations among motorists, citing it as a major cause of road traffic crashes (RTCs) on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

He urged drivers not to treat the highway as a racecourse, especially considering the good condition of the roads.

UGA advised motorists to adopt a safer driving attitude to save lives, extending condolences to the families of the crash victims.
