The Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, has voiced his concern regarding the escalating incidents of cultist killings in Sagamu.
He described these killings as a menacing threat to the peaceful coexistence of residents in the town and its surroundings.
In an interview with newsmen at his palace in Sagamu, the Akarigbo emphasized the urgent need to put an end to these senseless killings.
He urged Remo indigenes both within Nigeria and in the diaspora to come together and devise solutions to halt the incessant violence, immoral behavior, and other crimes plaguing the town.

The monarch’s call for action comes in the wake of the recent killing of the Balogun of Itunsoku Community in Sagamu, Chief Abiodun Folarin, who was reportedly murdered by cultists while relaxing outside his residence.
The Akarigbo expressed dismay at the fact that such a prominent Remo chief could be killed without any leads on the perpetrators.
Sagamu has witnessed several fatalities resulting from clashes between rival cultist groups, prompting law enforcement to intervene by arresting numerous individuals involved in these activities.
In response to the escalating violence, the Akarigbo urged chiefs, elders, and community leaders in Sagamu to collaborate closely to address the root causes of the killings and restore peace to the town.
Prince Kolawole Onalaja, the Secretary to the Sagamu Local Government, disclosed that a special security patrol comprising operatives from various security agencies has been established to maintain peace and security in the town.
